Vote.org Sees Record Breaking Voter Registration Through First Six Months of 2026

Published on July 2, 2026

Vote.org, the nation’s largest nonpartisan, nonprofit voter registration and engagement platform, today announced record-breaking voter registration in the first half of 2026. As of June 30, 230,430 voters had used Vote.org’s tools this year to register to vote – the most the organization has ever recorded at the midpoint of a midterm year, and more than double the 94,222 registered by this point in 2022, the last comparable midterm year.

Of those who used the platform to register, 38% were 18-years-old, and nearly 80% were under the age of 35, highlighting the platform’s continued strength with younger voters and a growing wave of youth civic engagement heading into a pivotal election year.

In addition to new registrations, 636,077 individuals used Vote.org to check their registration status in the first half of 2026, surpassing the 276,870 individuals who did so in the first two quarters of 2022, and nearly double the 304,458 who did so through this point in 2024, a presidential election year.

“These numbers confirm a trend we’ve been seeing since the beginning of this year,” Andrea Hailey, Vote.org CEO, said. “Voters, particularly young voters, are getting ready for the midterms earlier than we’ve ever seen, registering and checking their status at record rates. That kind of energy is signaling a record turnout year, and Vote.org is ready to help every eligible voter cast a ballot this November.”
