When registering to vote in Montana, you must provide your Montana driver’s license number or the last four digits of your social security number. If you do not have either of those, you must present a current valid photo ID or a current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, government check, or other government document that shows your name and current address.

Election Day Registration:

If you have missed the voter registration deadline, you can still register to vote and a cast a ballot at the same time during early voting or on Election Day. You'll have to register at the office of your Local Election Office -- not at a polling place. Contact your Local Election Office for questions about the process or identification requirements.
